Thanks<3333! I sometimes sketch out what I plan on sculpting, just a few different views, but nothing remotely detailed at all. Then you just make a skeleton out of wire (I use 20 gauge for the big stuff, like the spine and legs, and then 26 for ears or whatnot) and the wrap aluminum foil around the seperate pieces of wire to hold it in place or to bulk it up before I put the sculpey on. The hard part it keeping it together with the aluminum foil. x) It always falls apart on me.
