I had a free day yesterday, 'cause my son stays with his dad on Saturdays now, so I had plenty of time on my hands and thought I'd do some gift art.

:iconmelancholy-otter: is an awesome artist. Her stuff is very unique albeit a bit abstract(in a good way, just made it hard to do gift art) and I recently started watching her and thought I'd do something for her. :D Hope you like it! It was a ton of fun to do.

Looks awesome, shading is a bit iffy, and you tried to mimic the bangs on the head, but it doesnt come out so well in a realistic drawing. Good job nonetheless.

Yeah, I have yet to master underwater shading, and I didn't feeling like doing the studying that day. I like the bangs, if only I had chosen a different color. Thanks, though.

well, the bangs aren't 'bad' necessarily, but they look kinda like pieces of kelp, and also their style doesnt really fit with how you did the rest of the otter.
